The Prop Scan Reporting System is a
software package that collects the data from the Measuring
Assembly . The software processes the
data and produces reports used in the production, correction
and modification of propellers.
The Prop Scan Reporting System software is designed
for accurate measurement and assessment of propellers.
The ISO
484 Standards and Prop
Scan EPS (Enhanced Propeller Standards) are
used throughout the software programs to ensure accuracy
and repeatability.
REPORT
FEATURES
Graphical Reports - ALLOWS
QUICK ASSESSMENT
The Line
Graph and Bar
Graph reports highlight the inaccuracies and problems within a propeller.
The technician is alerted to even the smallest problem. These reports can
also be printed.
Printed Reports
The computer generates and prints a range of extremely useful propeller reports
designed to save time and assist the technician in his duties.
Customer Reports
Before and after reports are generated for customers,
verifying the job has been completed as per the customers
specifications for pitch and accuracy.
- The Prop Scan Assessment
Report is the report that displays the quality
of the propeller after its measured.
- The Prop Scan Quality
Certificate is the final report displaying
the propeller’s pitch and accuracy.
Permanent Records - NEVER
LOOSE A CUSTOMER RECORD
A record of every propeller measured is permanently stored on the computer.
Network Capabilities
The Prop Scan computer system has a powerful network capability which allows
a number of computers to be linked together so that propeller information
and reports about a particular job can be viewed from any computer on the
network
The Prop Scan Reporting
System software generates:
The Line Graph displays, for each measured section:
- A Line Graph plotting each degree the pressure face
- The mean pitch of each blade
- The mean pitch of the section
- The blade angle from leading edge to trailing edge
When design is selected
- The section design pitch.
- A Line Graph plotting the design of the pressure face
- A tolerance band indicating the design limits of the section
The Line Graph report displays the
pressure face of the propeller section from leading edge to
trailing edge. The green line (blade 1) shows the irregularities
of the blade face at .7 radius. The blue line represents
blade two, the red line blade three and the pink line blade
number 4.
The example on the right displays
the above features and more.
The Bar Graph displays in graphical form:
- The pitch of each blade
- The mean pitch of each section
- The allowable tolerance of each
section
- The pass rating
- The mean pitch of each blade
- The allowable tolerance of each
blade
- The mean pitch of the propeller
- The allowable tolerance of the
propeller
Blade one is shown as green, blade
two blue, and three red. The design mean is shown
as a pink line. The yellow doted line indicates the allowable
tolerance
for ISO 484 Class 1.
The example on the right displays
the above features and more.
Assessment
Reports
The Prop Scan Assessment Report displays
the features of the measured propeller and compares them
to the selected ISO
484 or Prop
Scan EPS class.
The Assessment Report displays:
- Propeller pitch
- Blade pitch
- Section pitch
- Tolerances on pitch
- Prop Scan Enhanced Propeller Standards
The Prop Scan Assessment Report is
stored on file for future reference and a copy is presented
to the customer.
The Prop Scan Quality Certificate
compares the corrected propeller to the optimum enhanced
design using the ISO 484 International
Standards for quality assurance and the Prop
Scan EPS (Enhanced
Propeller Standards) to further
control the quality and design requirements.
The Prop Scan Quality Certificate
along with the initial Assessment Report will go on file
and a copy is presented to the customer.
