Crystal Ball is a Propeller Component Effect Facility (PCEF).

The components of a propeller can be set and adjusted individually, Crystal Ball then calculates the component change effect . Multiple components can be changed simulatiously showing the effect on the propeller’s pitch and RPM.

Propeller components are:

CUP
CAMBER
DISK AREA RATIO
PITCH SPAN
SECTION SHAPE
DIAMETER

Display Effective Pitch
Based on the added or included component effect the effective pitch is calculated and displayed against the measured pitch as a value and also in bar graph form.

Display RPM Change
Based on the added or included component effect the effected RPM is calculated and displayed against the actual RPM as a value and also in bar graph form.

Display Percentage Change
Based on the added or included component effect the percentage change of the effective pitch and effected RPM is displayed against the measured pitch and actual RPM.

Display Cup Height
The actual dimension of the cup height is displayed based on the propeller diameter and the cup component value.

Calculate Required Pitch
After all components values are adjusted and combined the required RPM is keyed in and the required pitch is calculated and displayed based on the combined component effect.
